METALWORK SPECIALISTS
As specialists in architectural and structural metalwork, Littlehampton Welding Limited work for a variety of clients such as architects, designers and artists. We undertake a wide range of projects covering all aspects of metal fabrication and installation. These include architectural metalwork such as staircases and balustrades and structural metalwork like bridges and walkways. We are also sculpture fabricators creating large scale metalwork pieces for artists and designers involved in both public and commercial projects.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
With the wealth of knowledge we have gained over the years, we can offer our input at the initial stages of any metal fabrications proposal. This means we can suggest design alternatives where appropriate; which can be cost-effective and help with project programming due to speedier drawing approval. We’ve helped deliver multi-million-pound contracts within budget and on time; or even ahead of schedule.
DIVERSE FABRICATION
Fabrications are executed in-house at our extensive metalworks where we can utilize a diverse array of techniques; particularly manual metal arc welding in addition to TIG, MIG and submerged arc welding. As well as steel, in all it’s forms, we can incorporate a mix of metals and non-metallic materials such as glass and wood. We can also accomplish a wide selection of surface finishes too. We carry out works to Execution Class 2 with the capability of carrying out works to Execution Class 3.
THE HISTORY
The metalworking company started life as Littlehampton Welding Services more than forty years ago and has now grown considerably in both size and reputation.
INDUSTRY EXPERTS
Littlehampton Welding Ltd was formed under the direction of the late Bill Tustin, who for 35 years was the long-standing Managing Director before becoming Chairman. The day-to-day running of the company is now in the hands of Neil Fry (Managing Director) and Nathan Saunders (Strategic Operations Director) who have both been long-standing employees of the company, giving them a sound knowledge of the industry. They in turn head up a highly trained workforce of around 80 whose skills have been enhanced by cumulative years of experience due to a very low turnover of staff.
RECOGNISED ACCREDITATIONS
The successful running of the company has been attested through external audits, carried out annually by numerous accreditation bodies including Achilles, CHAS and SAFEcontractor, and the ever-increasing variety of contracts we have been a pivotal part of. These include balustrades, staircases and bridges through to large-scale sculptures and even an entire café made from Corten Steel.

Littlehampton Welding have successfully risen to meet the growing complexity of modern-day steel construction. This means that as well as having an enviable reputation within the industry itself, we have also gained the respect of the world-renowned architects, designers, and artists with whom we have collaborated. This well-earned position has been acknowledged by the numerous awards we’ve either been nominated for or received over the years.
