SERVICES
CONCEPT & DESIGN
All conceptual work and metal design services are carried out under one roof. Up to date CAD software from AutoCAD and Tekla Structures is employed to produce 3D models, working drawings, parts lists and data transfer files for accurate CNC production.
FABRICATION
We can offer bespoke metal fabrication of welded and bolted structures in a range of metals: mild steel, stainless steel and non-ferrous including aluminium and brass. Our metalworks have a range of machine tools that provide cutting, turning, drilling and boring; with a Rotary barrel blast cleaner for surface preparation of minor parts. All our workshops have a range of overhead cranes and a levelled steel factory floor for our skilled fabricators to accurately mark out and weld directly onto.
FINISHING
We can provide automatic shot blast to different surface finishes (SA2.5 is standard) for preparation. Our metal fabricators can manual shot blast the smaller and more intricate parts, and our large paint shop (over 500m²) is used for conventional spray painting and electrostatic paint spraying. Our in-house electric arc metal sprayer, forms a Zinc protective surface, enhancing corrosion protection. This process can also be used for applying decorative surface finishes onto metallic and non-metallic surfaces. Finished parts are then prepared in the polishing shop and the range of finishes, as laid down in BS 1449.
INSTALLATION
The installation of our metalwork projects are carried out by our own team of CSCS and SSSTS qualified site installers. This team is managed by our SMSTS qualified site managers who oversee an operation in order to ensure completion of the installation, often within a restrictive timeframe. The transportation of large sections of steel can be easily arranged, and when sections of fabricated steel arrive on site we can ensure that the structures are positioned in place with a controlled and precise lift.

With our wealth of metalwork knowledge, we can offer design alternatives at an early stage which can not only be cost-effective but can also help with project programming resulting in faster drawing approval as any change in detail design is agreed upon before pen touches paper. Such early involvement with all parties has helped multi-million-pound projects to be delivered successfully on or before time.
